Why KOOL KUP?

Kool Kup offers up to 50 drinks per 1kg pack (as opposed to 50 per 2 kg pack like most competitors). It has no added synthetic flavour of its own – it’s simply a milk based thickener. So it leaves you with more space – 1 packet and lots of uses. That’s perfect especially if you already serve espresso, quality tea and use good syrups like 1883 for flavouring your drinks. It makes use of all these during the hot days meaning you don’t end up with wasted products sitting about going out of date! We asked one café owner who was restricted on space how Kool Kup worked for her:
"I’ve gone from having 4 huge 2kg tubs of flavoured powders for frappe and milk shakes that I didn’t much like, to 1 packet with a second in the storage cupboard. But better still the syrups sell really fast now. The coffee frappe we make uses our espresso with the Kool Kup now, we charge a bit more - profits are up and everyone loves it! We can offer our hot drinks as a cold version which customers think is really fun – in truth we’ve see an increase in trade and people do talk about the drinks a lot more so I guess it’s linked!"

Kool Kup for SMOOTHIES!

Kool Kup Mixes with water and even chilled tea. This means you can add fruit juice or blended fruit with ice and Kool Kup to make delicious smoothies that have a fantastic texture – The results are delicious and give a more satisfying finish! Try with Red (Rooibos) or Green Tea for a really healthy drink.

Kool Kup for ICED TEA Frappe!

Basically an ideal and refreshing alternative for the summer. Just about any tea that is of a good quality works – we recommend 2g or more for the best results (go to Tea for our bags the luxury gives an outstanding result but all the others work too). Brew the tea in the normal way normally one mug is sufficient – but leave it to brew longer so the flavour is really strong (cold drinks dull down flavour and hot drinks expand it). Allow the tea to chill in the fridge or in a cooler core jug. Then add a scoop of ice cubes (no more than the final drink level) to the blender jug, 1 scoop of Kool Kup and the chilled tea then blend and serve immediately in a tall glass.

Kool Kup for CHILLATTE!

We all adore latte especially Chai Latte but the powder versions of the chilled drink – leave most people cold and not in a good way! For the perfect Chai Latte hot we recommend the 1883 Chai syrup with latté’d milk. So to turn this into a summer drink – Add the syrup to a blender and top up with milk (generally you need 2 to 3 pumps of syrup and about 100ml less milk than the total drink volume although depending on the milk and blender this can vary but you can top it up and blend again if it’s short. Add 1 heaped scoop for a 12 to 16 oz final drink or 1 level scoop for a smaller drink and blend well. The result is delicious! You can use water if you prefer but either way the result is a delicious Chillatte!

Kool Kup for MILK SHAKES!

Ok simply add a scoop to the milk and 1883 syrup (2 to 3 pumps) in a blender and blend although take care with the flavours as you need to follow our advice because 1883 is natural ingredient flavours so some flavours curdle milk – but the sneaky alternative is to replace the milk with water and blend – the result is quite unusual – we have even made Lime Shakes!! Because Routin are as natural as possible the colours are healthy and not sickly bright. But the flavour is so beautiful most people are astonished. Children tend to be lead into the impression that colour means flavour but 1883 syrups prove them otherwise!!
